Playin' Hoops

As a parent, there's nothing more fun than witnessing a light bulb going off in your little one's mind. Last week, it was the toy links. I figured it was time to start pulling out a few baby friendly things for Calvin to look at. The wonder of the ceiling fan was bound to fade at some point. I linked some plastic hoops together and stretched them across the crib he was lying in. And then it happened. He stared in awe at those darn rings for 20 minutes straight (an eternity in our world) and was desperately trying to coordinate his hands so he could touch and grasp them. Light bulbs everywhere! I know it's a milestone that can only bring a hormonal new mother to tears but it really was so sweet- watching those big eyes light up as he explored and interacted with world. So proud.
