The Big Reveal

This innocent looking little cupcake is hiding a BIG secret.

If you look very closely you may actually notice that this little cupcake is bursting at the seems. Bursting at the seems with excitement and anticipation for the moment when someone would dive into the middle of it and reveal the sex of baby Ondrey!

Here's the story of how we chose to share the gender of our first little kiddo with our family and best friends. Excited much? We were too!

For starters, we began by whipping up a good ole classic box of funfetti cupcakes.

Foolproof and delicious.

Then came the fun part, making the filling for the cupcakes. Which color would we be grabbing for? Pink or blue?

That would be PINK! Great guessing everyone :)

We tossed in a few blue sprinkles- just in case! (You can never be 100% sure that a wild kicking girl in an ultrasound is indeed a girl. There's always that tiny possibility that we could be making blue cupcakes in a few weeks!)

Next, we dug out (and promptly ate) a small hole in the center of each cupcake,

and filled the hole with our sweet girly icing.

Then we generously frosted the top to conceal the pink filling.

Lastly, the cupcakes were sprinkled with some pink and blue sugar- just to keep em guessing 'til the very last second. Here they are all ready to go. Bring on the Baby Ondrey reveal!

First up, Auntie Sarah. She was crazy excited and has been out shopping for the little lady ever since the big surprise. Bring on the pink!!

The Havens' couldn't wait to sink their teeth into their cupcakes and immediately went crazy! Their sweet little Tilda boo will have a new best friend living just 2 minutes from her front door. The friendship bracelets have been ordered.. too soon?!

The Ondrey/Johnson gang was thrilled! This will be the first granddaughter for Jeff and Sali and a new little cousin for Sawyer. So fun that these two will grow up so close to one another!

As for us.. to say that we were a little excited would be the understatement of a lifetime. We are absolutely thrilled and can not wait to meet our little GIRL in 5 short months!!
